Greetings all. I attempted to dig through the archives but didn't seem
to come across anything that seems to help me. I was hoping someone
could assist me in determining what is up with my spamassassin.

I am running OpenBSD 3.2 with qmail, and vpopmail with ClamAV. I am
using the qmail-queue patch to passoff spamassassin scanning.

I have spmad started with:
/usr/bin/spamd -u spamdaemon -d

it runs fine and I get plenty of feedback through the headers. In fact
a test header I have states:
qmail-scanner-1.16 (clamscan: 0.54. spamassassin: 2.55.
Clear:SA:1(38.1/10.0):. Processed in 3.840287 secs); 30 May 2003
02:13:20 -0000
X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=38.1 required=10.0

Now with my /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.conf file stating this:
required_hits 10
rewrite_subject 1
subject_tag [SPAM]

I would expect to see [SPAM] in the test subject line. But I don't. It
isn't rewriting the subject line at all.

Anyone got any ideas, or recommendations for where to start?

Thanks
Geoff Sweet
