Spamassassin would definitely need to be configured very carefully if it is going to 
be used by the medical profession!!
A Gynakologist or Andrologist in particular is likely to get alot of false positives. 
Because a lot of words and phrases regarding certian parts of the anatomy which most 
people would not expect to occur in their mail unless it is spam pornography are 
likely to occur legitimitely in their mail.

It is rather crash of your sysadmins to just install spamassassin and filter the 
"Department of Nursing's" email without making special provision.

I think you should complain to them
