This is a deprecated test and no longer exists in the current version of SA. It was a manual attempt to identify phrases commonly seen in spam. This is now done using a Bayesian filter in SA 2.50+. I have no idea if upgrading SA out from under Mailscanner would break the integration between the two, but you could always back up the installation and give it a shot (so you can back out if something goes wrong). [small essay on this topic upcoming, OT for your question, though] Under Linux, with a stock SA+sendmail+procmail installation, I would do this to back up an SA install: tar cvzf /tmp/sa-old.tgz \ `for dir in /etc /usr ; do find $dir \ -name 'sa-*' -o \ -iname 'spamassassin*' -o \ -name 'spam[cd]' -o \ -name 'spam[cd].*' ; \ done` If you installed via a package management system, I advise using that to back up SA (or simply re-install if something goes wroing) rather than relying on this sort of a hack, though ;-) Under Solaris, you will probably want to add "/opt" to places to find SA goodies.... > 2. > In Mailscanner config I can set rulesets for spamcheck. > I want to set a host (xyz) to "no" because it runs spamassassin and we > don't want double checks. This is an SA list. While it would be cool if someone here knew the answer, you probably want to ask this question of folks who specifically use Mailscanner (I don't so have no clue).
