There are two ways you can use spamassassin.  At the MTA level or at the
user level.  There are trade-offs to either way, and you have to decide
what's best for your setup, and what you're willing to accept.


MTA Level Pro's
---------------

Possible faster execution
Message checked earlier in the delivery chain
Can be used as a "smart host" that checks the message then sends it on to
another smtp server for final delivery.

MTA Level Con's
---------------

Hard to do per-user configs


User Level Pro's
----------------

Per user configs

User Level Con's
----------------

Can be hard for the user to configure their preferences.  There are tools
out there for this however
May cause higher server load
Has to be called from a .forward or .qmail file (or equiv)
