(I apologize in advance as this problem spans SA, postfix, and mailman and is probably off topic)
I'm just getting SA going on one of our mail servers. The setup is as follows:
SA - 2.44 (or whatever the current stable version is) postfix - output of postconf | grep version == 2.0.3 mailman - 2.0.11
postfix was an establised install and works great. i added SA with a simple postfix filter (smtpd -o content_filter=filter and the appropriate rule in master.cf). a small shell script runs mail through SA as expected. everything seems to work great (SA headers are added to mail as delivered).
the problem is the mailman lists i had setup stopped working. postfix is complaining about a mail forwarding loop, but i'm a bit confused as to where it is referring to. my lists are setup with virtual addresses forwarding to local addresses (as postfix doesn't like virtual addresses going to command) and the local (in the aliases file) addresses going to the mailman wrapper scripts. the only thing i can think of is that SA is running during postfix's cleanup between virtual -> aliases mapping, but i can't think of another way of doing it. i *know* it must work because SA, postfix, and mailman are all popular enough for someone else to have encountered a similar situation.
Again, sorry about the OT post and thanks to anyone who can help in advance. -- Eric Sammer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.bluemonkeystuff.com developer / systems / resident geek for bluemonkeystuff
