I just installed SA-2.50 and I have a spam file I've collected with 125

1. I don't understand the difference between spam and ham? Can someone
point me to an explanation?

spam = unsolicited commercial email.. you know.. email you want to use an example of "typical bad email" for the bayes system to learn from.

ham = non-spam, email that's the "real deal".. email you want to use an example of "typical good email" for the bayes system to learn from.

2. Is my mail folder too small to use or should I try to use it?

Well, the bayes code requires an input of at least 200 spam and 200 ham emails before it will start taking effect. This is mostly so that the bayes code doesn't kick in before it has enough tokens to be reasonably accurate.
