Hello All,

I'm very new to SA.  I've decided to use the SA-Analyze (http://www.jfitz.com/sa-analyze/)  package to manage my SA installation.  I run Qmail on Gentoo Linux 1.4RC2.

My question is how to get SA to report more information to the syslogs.  From what I can tell its the SA-Analyze package that does the logging and reporting.  (and blocking I guess).  If a spam message hits my server it is subsequently bounced back to the sender with a (554 Mail server permantently rejected message (#5.3.0)) error.

Here is what I get logged:

Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 spamd[15693]: connection from localhost [127.0.0.1] at port 34760
Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 spamd[28236]: info: setuid to qmaild succeeded
Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 spamd[28236]: processing message <002101c2cedc$ec3e0650$6400a8c0@tyler> for qmaild:201, expecting 2759 bytes.
Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 spamd[28236]: identified spam (8.2/5.0) for qmaild:201 in 0.1 seconds, 2759 bytes.
Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 qmail-localfilter.pl: Rejected spam from "Tyler" <from address>  to <destination address>
Feb  7 12:12:59 ns2 qmail-localfilter.pl: X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=8.2 required=5.0
I've looked at the qmail-localfilter perl script and shell script and I cant find anywhere for it to log Subject, or what the results of SpamC were.

Does anyone use this package?  I like it, it works, but I would like to know if legitimate mail is getting bounced.  The reports that SA-Analyze produce are fine, but if it could include the Subject and the tests that it did on the email that would be great.

Help for the newbie?

Tyler
