I am running Redhat8 qmailscanner1.15 and spamassassin2.43. I currently have the spamd called from a redhat-init script and it starts a single process. My question is because of the qmail config I am able to start as many as 10 qmail-scanner sessions but only see the one spamd should I see more?. I am not using the -m (max-children) option and from reading the spamd description it looks like this is something that perl sets itself.
