Ahhh... I get it. Wait a sec... What's the difference between static and auto whitelists? Is that -a (or -aW) versus --add-to-whitelist? % % Spamassassin -aW does not update the static whitelists, just the AWL % database, so it has no affect on spamassassin unless you later use % spamassassin -a. I'm not sure I follow. So do I use either of -a or -W to whitelist the address(es) in a mail message?
