Jeremy, It totally depends on how you have Guinevere set up as to what happens to the Spam - if you are having it "sent" to the administrator, then the mail is in your GroupWise system. If you are archiving, then it would be in the location you choose for the archive. If you choose neither to send spam reports to the admin NOR archive then it is just deleted. There is no "major" holding area for the spam. You should really only have as many messages on the Guinevere machine at any given time as you have allocated threads for Guinevere processing, etc.

I know there is an option to archive spam, which I did not enable, and right now I have admin messages going to me so I can troubleshoot in the early stages of implementation. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a temp dir or other location that was used and then one day my mail server quits because I've run out of disk space. Cheers. >>> "Steve Thomas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 12/30/02 04:27PM >>> That's up to whatever you're using to call SA. If you used the example procmail recipe in the documentation, it's put into a folder called (IIRC) 'caughtspam'. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Jeremy Dold Sent: Monday, December 30, 2002 3:49 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SAtalk] Where is the spam Just installed SA a few days ago and already captured 500+ messages with about 1.5% false+'s. This is probably a stupid question, but when SA finds what does it do with it? Is it saved in a directory or just deleted? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
