Am running platform FBSD-4.7 Unix with Sendmail-8.12.6 Spamass-Milter I'm a brand new newbie on use of SA-2.43 since installing a couple of days ago. I've noticed in the mail log files the following every time it checks an incoming message:
Dec 28 18:01:37 sage-american spamd[69658]: Still running as root: user not specified, not found, or set to root. Fall back to nobody. Yes, indeed, am running as root since it was started from rc.d script by root, it loads as this: root 50238 0.0 1.5 15988 15656 ?? Is Wed10AM 0:03.63 /usr/local/bin/spamd -a -c -d (perl) Is it normal to see the above message every time....??? ...or what do I need to tweak..?? Tips appreciated.... Thanks! Best regards, Jack L.
