Yes.  The CVS snapshots are updated only once a day.  However, last
night's one should now have the fix...

BTW that is spurious.  Perl assumes that since the version number for
both is "2.50" that it does not need to do anything, but in this
case that's incorrect.  So I would remove /usr/bin/spamd before
doing "make install".
