It's different for each situation. My work e-mail address ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
is somewhat high-profile. It's on many web pages and has been active for years. I get
hundreds of spams a day. Since most of my legitimate mail comes from my customers, or
potential customers through HTML forms, it's very easy to whitelist effectively.
Through trial and error, I've found that 3.0 is yes, pretty aggressive, but just
about right.

On the other hand, I would never set it that low on my home account. My home account
works perfectly with a 5.0 setting. The nature of the things I do at home (eBay,
group message boards, etc) means I get somewhat more flashy "legitimate" messages.

To each his/her own. I guess that's why they make it so customizable. :-)
