Just to stir the pot a little:

I have been on SA-TALk for about a month and notice a lot of traffic that
can be answered with "man Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf". (I am guilty of at
least two silly posts myself) :)

>From my perspective, after I installed spamassassin, I did a "man -k spam"
to see what docs were installed, I didn't even give
Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf a second look because in my haste I immediately
thought perl module. Eventually I figured it out and now it's the man
page I go to first.

Perhaps adding a simple README.config file in the SA top level that simply
says "See man Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf for details on customizing your
installation" would help. I know references exist in the README file, but
after you finish installation, often you do not go back to the README. Or
maybe rename/copy the man page (perldoc, whatever) to something a little
more obvious?

Or just leave it alone? I'm on about a dozen mailing lists and often
questions are asked that simply are answered with: search the archives or
read the man pages so why should SA be any different?

Anyway, I'm done. Cheers!
