It seems that over the past few weeks, more and more spam is getting
through SA 2.43. We run it without RBL checks enabled, and in the past
this seemed to get most of the spam. Now it seems 20-30% more spam is
coming in per day not tagged as spam.

Has anyone given thought to a "Live Update" type of system where for the
current version, new "static" perl regexp rules are updated/added and
users can download these new rules to deal with the new spam coming out?
Just trying to think of a way to combat the new methods spammers are using
in a proactive type of manner. RBL's work great, but there is too much
potential for legitimate email to be blocked, as well as the slowdown on
the mail server/SA when trying to check these RBL's.

Just trying to come up with a way for the current version to be more
effective at combating the new style of spam that seems to get by SA these
days.

Thanks.

Rob M.
