[SAtalk] Net::DNS check hangs SA

Version 2.41 running on Win2000, worked perfectly until I installed Net::DNS, now it hangs indefinately.  Renaming Net::DNS fixes the problem.  I have a home-made RBL checker working well, using the perl Mail::RBL module.  So what's breaking?  Are the RBL servers not timing out?  Is it a 3 minute timeout on every RBL?  Is there a black hole in the code?  Anybody seen this before?  Any ideas????
