Version 2.43 definitely fixed the whitelist troubles I was having. I did delete my AWL file to reset it, though. > Most of my spam comes through mailing lists where there is an overall > large amount of non-spam email - I not sure the AWL feature is > well-designed for this kind of mail profile. Maybe SA is picking up the mailing lists' headers rather than the original ones and treating every message on a list as having the same sender, effectively whitelisting everything sent from the lists. It sounds like your particular situation isn't one where autowhitelisting will do much good. The real solution to spam on mailing lists is for the mailing list owners to implement proper security. Mailing lists that allow non-subscribers to post* are even more useful to a spammer than open relays, since they only have to send one message and the list does the spamming for them. * (including the SA lists for some reason) -- Michael Moncur mgm at starlingtech.com http://www.starlingtech.com/ "Spare no expense to save money on this one." --Samuel Goldwyn ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net emial is sponsored by: Influence the future of Java(TM) technology.
