Spamassassin only does the detection of spam, and will run with something like milter, or mailscanner (I use mailscanner). Depending on the settings in this program, the mail will be marked as spam, deleted, or no action will be done. I think that maybe you need to set an 'on detection of spam' action somewhere in your configuration.
