Gabriel, the "take something from these stored messages and develop
rules for them" is the whole purpose of this list and the SA effort.
The argument is that machines cannot develop reliable heuristics, but a
dedicated team of developers/users using the open source model can.

Please feel free to post the rules that you think are most valuable in
bugzilla.spamassassin.org. However, please make sure you are at least
using SA 2.31, if not the CVS version, so that you can confirm that the
newest rules don't catch your spam.

Subject: [SAtalk] plauge of spam

i get frequently spam that with spamassassin out of the box yeilds a
score
of 1 to 2 ... i am trying to figure out a way to put a stop to it ...
currently i put the spam (as i manually go through my mail) into a
folder
named spam.

i am thinking i would like to write some code to take the something from
these stored messages and develop rules for them.

as all the spam is from the same sources over and over again (coupons
and
wonderful deals)

going into my ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs and appending my regex
manuall a few times everyday is a chore.

has anyone else done this? already?
