Spamassassin and broken pipe While trying to test spamassassin installing, i always end up with a 'broken pipe' or no output at all.
With the command cat sample-nonspam.txt | spamassassin -Dt > nonspam.out I get no output in nonspam.out. with the command spamassassin -Dt < sample-nonspam.txt > nonspam.out I get no output and a broken pipe signal. I have included the Debug output of both commands. What would be the next command after the DCC or is this the last test? Maybe the next command is failing. ANy other ideas that i can test. output results [popuser@linuxnol:~]$cat sample-nonspam.txt | spamassassin -Dt > nonspam.out debug: using "/usr/share/spamassassin" for default rules dir debug: using "/etc/mail/spamassassin" for site rules dir debug: using "/home/popuser/.spamassassin" for user state dir debug: using "/home/popuser/.spamassassin/user_prefs" for user prefs file debug: is Net::DNS::Resolver unavailable? 0 debug: looking up MX for 'microsoft.com.' debug: MX for 'microsoft.com.' exists? 0 debug: is DNS available? 0 debug: running header regexp tests; score so far=0 debug: running body-text per-line regexp tests; score so far=0 debug: running uri tests; score so far=0.4 debug: uri tests: Done uriRE debug: running raw-body-text per-line regexp tests; score so far=0.4 debug: running full-text regexp tests; score so far=-2.7 debug: Razor is not available debug: spam-phrase score: 2.2230793104494: hits: mailing list, that will, the net, was mailed, you get, you need, you not debug: DCC is available: 1.1.6 [popuser@linuxnol:~]$spamassassin -Dt < sample-nonspam.txt > nonspam.out debug: using "/usr/share/spamassassin" for default rules dir debug: using "/etc/mail/spamassassin" for site rules dir debug: using "/home/popuser/.spamassassin" for user state dir debug: using "/home/popuser/.spamassassin/user_prefs" for user prefs file debug: is Net::DNS::Resolver unavailable? 0 debug: looking up MX for 'microsoft.com.' debug: MX for 'microsoft.com.' exists? 0 debug: is DNS available? 0 debug: running header regexp tests; score so far=0 debug: running body-text per-line regexp tests; score so far=0 debug: running uri tests; score so far=0.4 debug: uri tests: Done uriRE debug: running raw-body-text per-line regexp tests; score so far=0.4 debug: running full-text regexp tests; score so far=-2.7 debug: Razor is not available debug: spam-phrase score: 2.2230793104494: hits: mailing list, that will, the net, was mailed, you get, you need, you not debug: DCC is available: 1.1.6 Broken pipe Is your boss reading your email? ....Probably Keep your messages private by using Lycos Mail.
