I just set up MIMEDefang on my system, set up as a sendmail milter, calling f-prot and SpamAssassin.
I don't see how it would be possible for SpamAssassin to use any user preferences, such as whitelist_from or all_spam_to, since SA gets called so early in the process. Is it true that this type of configuration is only going to work wth site-wide preferences for SA? I notice that Matt Sergeant said they were using MIMEDefang at MessageLabs. How do you handle user customization if SA is called before the mail is even accepted?
