You can install cygwin and through it use fetchmail and procmail to
retrieve and filter your mail and then use any "standard" mailer to
read the mail. I know mutt and gnus fit my intended definition of
"standard" mailer. My intended definition is merely that it works
with standard mailbox formats (eg mbox or maildir).
