The current SA tests don't seem to catch the very common Nigerian scam. You know "The assets of dictator So And So are frozen. We need your help. Send us your bank account number and we'll transfer a bunch of money there" (or something like that). Have others developed better tests to catch them? None of the hits the latest one I'm looking at seems to be particular tailored to that scam (just the MENTIONS_AFRICA test). Some things that caught my eye just looking at one instance:
"... you a trustworthy person to provide an account ..." "... 30% will be for you for your assistance ..." "You are required to send by e-mail immediately your Telephone and fax numbers and where this money will be lodged and your personal contact address." I haven't looked closely at enough of these to know if these catch phrases are common enough to provide reliable triggers, but I would think they all have enough in common to fall into an appropriately set SA trap. -- Skip Montanaro ([EMAIL PROTECTED] - http://www.mojam.com/) "Excellant Written and Communications Skills required" - seen on chi.jobs _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
