Ignore all my blurb.. I commented out my svscan in inittab and sent a 'kill -HUP 1' to
stop everything.
blew out my spamd/supervise and spamd/log/supervise folders. changed the run script
back to

#!/bin/bash
exec /usr/bin/spamd -F0

and then edited inittab and sent a HUP again and everything is working. spamc is
talking just fine. if I send a kill -9 to spamd, it automatically starts back up, and
spamc continues to work just fine.

Hope this helps others that are trying to get spamd to run through daemontools.

Good Luck
