I am trying to deploy spamassassin site-wide on a Sun/Solaris machine but am having a few difficulties.
[a.] I can't get spamd to run. I am using 'perl spamd' (because perl isn't in the /usr/perl5/5.00503/bin/perl path) and get the error: Can't locate syslog.ph in @INC (did you run h2ph?) (@INC contains: ../lib /opt/local/stow/perl-5.005.02/lib/5.00 502/sun4-solaris /opt/local/stow/perl-5.005.02/lib/5.00502 /opt/local/stow/perl-5.005.02/lib/site_perl/5.005/sun 4-solaris /opt/local/stow/perl-5.005.02/lib/site_perl/5.005 .) at /opt/local/stow/perl-5.005.02/lib/5.00502/Sys/ Syslog.pm line 117. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at spamd line 15. I have read about the contrib/snp but can't get that to compile, due to a missing 'sys/cdefs.h', is this necessary to get spamd working? spamc seems to run ok, but its hard to test without spamd running. Has anyone gotten this to work on solaris? ----------- [b.] Because of the above problem, I am using a .procmailrc of; :0fw |/home/user/bin/spamassassin/spamassassin -P -c /home/user/bin/spamasssassin/rules The paths will be changed once I install it globally. However at the moment it doesn't seem to doing AWL properly. With spamd you can pass the option to use autowhitelisting, but 'spamassassin -P' doesn't have this option, or seem to use it. It also creates an empty ./spamassassin/user_prefs file instead of using the template. 'spamasssassin -P' also doesn't seem to have any method of not processing messages over a set size. ---------- Please share your thoughts on these problems if you can, Thanks Shane. _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
