I'm trying to run SA on my e-mail gateway for 8500 users. Running the
spamd/spamc combo, it works great for 75 users. However, trying to turn
it on for all the users, the scan times climb up to 20 - 40 seconds,
even for messages smaller than 1k. Spamd was started with 'spamd -dS'.
I'm calling spamc from procmail for each user with the following recipe:

:0wf
| spamc -f

Are the slow times just due to a processor limitation or have I missed
some tweaks that would make this possible? The server is a dual P3 600
with 448Mb of RAM running RH 7.2. It wouldn't suprise me if I'm
expecting too much of it, as I'm also running Mailscanner and uvscan,
but figured I'd check my options before bugging the boss for a new
server.
