Kevin, I think this is a useful feature to request. Could you file a bugzilla ticket if you haven't already, requesting a feature where the subject won't be munged if it already contains the patterns that would be inserted?

If you want to do it within SA, then you can add a rule in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf which says: header WILDBRAIN_RT Subject =~ /[RT/ describe WILDBRAIN_RT Claw back some points for ticket-tracking system score WILDBRAIN_RT -20.0 Thanks, C Kevin G.
