I'm the one who added the vpopmail support in SA simply because I don't want
to have to use MySQL just to store user_prefs.  Maybe one day when I'm alot
bigger it will make sense but for now file/dir based storage for user_prefs
is alot simpler and easier.  Using a database does make sense for larger
sites and especially if you are already running it for other apps.
