First, kudos: I am *very* happy with SpamAssassin. I used to use my own filters, about twenty phrases like 'to be removed' and 'to get off this list' and so forth, but that had about a 60% success rate; then I switched to Spam Bouncer but that only had about an 80% success rate; in the few days I've been using SpamAssassin so far I've only had one piece of spam get through (a 'Joke-of-the-Day' spam), and I haven't had any legit email incorrectly marked as spam.
So, here's my question: What next? As in, now that SA is highly accurate in filtering out my spam, what's an easy way to go about reporting it and having complaints sent to the appropriate people? I have a free reporting account on SpamCop. I suppose I could put a line into my procmailrc which forwards all my spam to my SpamCop reporting address; then SpamCop will send me back a confirmation email for each spam thus reported. That's a little messy, though, since it means I'll get dozens of confirmation emails to click on every day. Does anyone have an easier (but reliable) way to have SpamAssassin automatically report spam to the upstream providers? Are there any other ways in which SpamAssassin can be used to make sending spam less profitable to the people who do it? ____ |\/| Brian Kendig Set your priorities right. \ /\ / ..__. brian at enchanter net No one ever said on his \/ \__\ _/ http://www.enchanter.net/ death bed, "Gee, if I'd \__ __ \_ Be insatiably curious. only spent more time at \____\___\ Ask "why" a lot. the office." _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
