Have you tried running spamc from the command-line, eg. "spamc < msg" ?

Also try a debugging spamd run, ie. shut down your regular spamd, and
run it manually with "spamd -D".  Then run spamc from the command-line,
watching spamd's debug output.  Then send an email that is supposed to
go through spamc, and again watch spamd's output.

Any help?
