I tried setting up SpamAssassin with Kmail as the README says, and it worked just fine. However, with the KDE 2.2.2 version of Kmail, Kmail becomes unresponsive while piping through SpamAssassin, which can take a noticeable amount of time if you're checking with multiple BlackHole lists, and if you receive a bunch of mail at once, it just gets plain unusable. There should probably be a warning of this in the README.
So, to make things more responsive, I tried getting Qmail to do the filtering before Kmail got it's grubby little hands on anything. I don't seem to have Qmail set up in a way to honor .forward files, so I had to figure out how to get the .qmail file working. The documentation isn't the greatest, but I eventually figured that you just put "|spamassassin" into the .qmail file, and everything works fine. I think that this should also be added to the README -- http://dmoz.org | Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a | minute, but light him on fire, and he'll be The world's largest human edited | warm for the rest of his life. edited web directory directory | ICQ: 132152059 _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
