I've just run about 1900 recent (last 5 months) spam messages through SA (the CPAN version, if that matters) and it got about an 88% success rate. (I had an old unfiltered email account from which I grabbed the spool.) A few of those it missed are extremely obvious spams, containing e.g.:
> Subject: WOW - They Build Your Downline for YOU! > X-Spam-Status: No, hits=2.3 required=5.0 tests=X_PRIORITY_HIGH,PLING version=2.01 > > Watch Your Downline Grow Like CRAZY! > > This is a FORCED MATRIX ..... Get in NOW! So ... this is probably a stupid newbie question, but as no one has pointed me to a searchable archive ... is anybody actively collecting samples to create new SA default rules?
