Dear all at Spamassassin,

First, thank you very much for a beautiful piece of work!

Now the questions!

I'm running a website on a virtual (FreeBSD) server. As a result, I
have login privileges but not as root. Since the server providers
didn't show any interest in a public installation, I have succeeded in
installing spamassassin and all its pre/co-requisites locally under
~/lib/perl5 and making it work (though not spamc/spamd), which required
quite a few tweaks.

1. Has anybody else had this experience? If not, would anybody be
interested in my writing a mini-HOWTO for this situation or is it too
unusual to be worth considering?

2. I also installed Vipul's razor, which worked when I ran tests, but
hasn't shown in the spamassassin results so far. I made this
installation after spamassassin. Any suggestions?

3. In the 1st 24 hours, spamassassin disposed of 35 e-mails correctly
but kept 6, of which 4 were marginal (points < 5), but 2 showed no
points at all. Of these, one was a variant Nigerian spam and the other
contained a *.doc.bat attachment. I'm a bit surprised at the latter
since I thought it would be taken care of by the SIRCAM_SIGNATURE rule.
Any suggestions? Unfortunately, I destroyed both e-mails, which was
stupid of me, but I won't be reporting such things until I'm a bit more
sure of what I'm doing!
