When I find something that SpamAssassin can't filter, I'll just add it to the filter tables of my MTA (Postfix). It can filter based on IP address, "HELO" host, words in the subject line, etc.
Spam Assassin does a better job than doing it yourself, but, in my case, since I know nobody in mainland China, I just filtered out the entire .cn TLD. That in itself filtered out a BUNCH of spam. -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Pittman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 3:30 PM To: Andre Bonhote Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SAtalk] Re: Spammer's new ideas ... Sadly, that's not going to work too well for me; for a period at my last job I regularly sent and received mail, aside from a .de with Reply-To account, another .com.de, a .com.au, a .net and a .org account. :) It's an AI-complete problem, trying to work out which accounts are and are not yours. If you /really/ wanted, though, you could write a custom rule that looked for your accounts and score down something claiming to be from you without them...
