I helped a friend get SA installed this morning, and so far he's loving it (5 correct positives caught so far in 4 hours.) While we were chatting though, he had a question I didn't know how to answer: How does one go about getting rules updates?
My answer was that you'd wait for a new SA release and then install it. It seems like there should be seperate SA and SArules releases, where SArules would require a minimum SA version (ie: SA >= 2.0). That way, for instance, we could keep SA 2.01 installed, and if we didn't want to upgrade to 2.02 when it comes out, we could just get the new rules "package" that is still compatible with 2.01.
