Hi --

I've been running SpamAssassin 1.5 for site-wide filtering on my exim-based
mail server, using the spamcheck.pl script from "Stopping Spam at the Front
Door" (http://bogmog.sourceforge.net/document_show.php3?doc_id=28). It
seems to be working well, but I have a couple of questions/comments I hope
someone can help me with.

1. I see from the list archives that version 2.01 has been released. But
the web page seems to indicate that 1.5 is the "stable" version. Is 2.01
considered ready for prime time, or should I still be using 1.5 on a
production machine?

2. I had a problem with broken "From " headers resulting from an apparent
bug in Mail::Audit version 2.0's "accept" routine -- very often, the "From
" line would be truncated after the sender, with the timestamp following on
the next line. I'm happy to report that a beta copy of M::A 2.1 that I got
from Meng Wong *seems* to have solved that problem. I'm not sure when 2.1
is going to be released, though.

3. I'd now like to move SpamAssassin to my main mailserver, which is
running sendmail. Can someone point me to info on how to set up a
Sendmail/SpamAssassin system? (The stuff at bogmog.sourceforge.net made
the exim configuration really easy; is there a sendmail equivalent?)

Thanks,

John Ackermann
