Hi, Josef. I just did a little testing to make sure that the ISO-8859-1 charset was being used properly by SJ. I used a clean installatin of sourcejammer server 2.1.1.0 beta 2.
First, I tried adding a folder with the same name you used in an SJ installation that's using UTF-8. I got exactly the result you did--the characters look weird and the invalid error message pops up when I click on the folder. Then I tried the same thing again on an SJ server set up to use ISo-8899-1, and it works perfectly. Obviously, something's going on with your server. I think it's one of three things: 1) Did you restart your server after you modified the conf.xml file? 2) Are you sure you modified the correct conf.xml file? This is most likely in your TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/sourcejammer/WEB-INF/conf directory. 3) Are you sure you created the entries in the conf.xml file correctly? One tiny misspelling would cause SJ to just ignore your new entries. Following are the entries from my conf.xml, just to make double sure: <XMLEncodingCharset>ISO-8859-1</XMLEncodingCharset> <TextEncodingCharset>ISO-8859-1</TextEncodingCharset> Hopefully one of these causes is what's going on. Let me know if I can be of any more help. Thanks. --Rob PS: Please note that any project or file that you named while your server was using UTF-8 will still be incorrect after you switch to ISO-8859-1. And because of the client-side error message, you're going to have to go into your SJ archive files and manually clean things up. Let me know if you need any help in how to do this. --- "Josef Gattermayer [Pepus]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Rob, > thank you for reply.
