Currently there is not. Round 2 of parallel SQL is slated for Solr 6.5. This won't include support for the "*" in the initial release but the plan is to support this feature in a release in the near future. The 6.5 release is based on Apache Calcite SQL engine and it has much deeper ties into the Solr schema.
