Actually, we already published a blog post <https://blog.wikimedia.org/2013/01/12/remembering-aaron-swartz-1986-2013/> at the time, which did very well when it was reposted on social media last year (Michael did that, IIRC, and may have numbers still). So for that purpose, a new post doesn't really seem necessary.
How about writing a new up-to-date post instead that maps how Wikimedians have hold up and continued to be influenced by Aaron's memory, enabling us to incorporate information from after mid-January 2013?
