The Facebook post is not (strictly speaking) accurate. They're just
cataloging them on-wiki, not preserving them. Perhaps "During World War I,
despite being forbidden by their superiors, many Australian soldiers kept a
personal diary small enough to hide in their top pocket. Now, over 1300 of
them are cataloged on Wikipedia." ?
