Hello everyone, This week:
After a discussion in person I had with my mentor Andreas (before I leave from DebConf) we decided to drop/postpone the following feature(which was also mentioned in previous week reports) : * Update blend-gen-control in order to regard versioned dependenciess ( for the moment none of the existing Blends is using versioned dependencies and might never use) This week I mostly tested the code we already have. The basic idea was to compare the control/taskdesc files for the current (blends-gsoc) and the previous blends-dev implementation. To make testing easier I wrote a simple script(blendsdev_compare) to automate the comparison of the files(simple diff was not useful cause in the new implementation we use different syntax in the generated control files). While testing we found and fixed some bugs[0]. I also spent some time to clean up a little the code(encapsulate better some functions) Next week: During the next week I will continue testing to verify that the code is bug free. Also I will start writing some documentation in the blends-dev pages about the new blend-gen-control implementation. Kind regards Emmanouil [0]: https://lists.debian.org/debian-blends/2013/08/msg00020.html , https://lists.debian.org/debian-blends/2013/08/msg00024.html ,
