FWIW, I did not "whine" about neither Phil, nor Jeroen, not today, and
not back then. I've even been the mentor of Marga in 2006 (IIRC)! If I
had a problem with some of them, I would not have participated in so
many GSoC Debian years and I surely wouldn't have acted as the mentor of
a DD student.
That's, in fact, exactly why I did not push for a decision once the
students were already on the field (i.e. in the past), and that's why
I've raised this discussion now, before students apply. IMO, it should
be a decision on its own and not related to actual people.
