Dear students and mentors, You are kindly invited to come to DebConf9 this year in Spain. (Even if you think it's too far, read on.)
Taken from <http://debconf9.debconf.org/>: Debian Conference is the annual Debian developers meeting, an event filled with coding parties, discussions and workshops - all of them highly technical in nature. It will be held in Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain, from July 23 to 30, 2009. Of interest to some students and mentors would be: - Debian Camp Development teams like debian-installer and debian-edu also have the possibility of meeting beforehand for undisturbed collaborative work. However, note that only the basic necessities like bed and network connection will be provided at that time. Interested teams should contact the organizers upfront to make special arrangements. DebCamp will take place from July 16th until July 23rd 2009. If you have not registered yet, please do it ASAP: <http://debconf9.debconf.org/register.xhtml> The conference is free and sponsorship is available for food/accomodation and in, some cases, travel. The deadline for this was April 15th but we can arrange things to get you through. Contact us ASAP in private for this. We look very much forward to seeing all of you in Spain this year. There will be a panel talk with GSoC students and mentors to present their work and interface with other developers. #debian-soc on irc.debian.org Arthur -- Obey Arthur Liu <http://www.milliways.fr>
