each parameter.  For example, the symbol parameter for the stock quote client is
serialized by this code:

                Serializer.startElement "symbol"
                    Serializer.SoapAttribute "xsi:type", , "xsd:string"
                    Serializer.writeString "IBM"
                Serializer.endElement
