- the mail relay on the other end is posting as '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and
fully spoofs the from/sender and envelope in submittal. It also seems
to have zapped the 'loop' detection headers. So there is no way to
recognize that this is a bouncer. Or that this is not just a message
submitted by a valid and verified subscriber...

In the future; you find the 'real' address in the header:
To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Which is not the one which is bouncing of course - that would be too
easy :-)
