José, Can you file a bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapstore ? We have tested with snaps of around 1.5GB and generally this should work - we'll dig into it.
Meanwhile, that's going to be quite a snap for users to install, even with delta downloads they'll get hit hard the first time. Is there any amount of slimming to be done there?
