I didn’t see your message, before I suspected a hardware issue (wasn’t sure exactly what) and swapped the memory and disks to another server. Of course no issue on using the different hardware. Reading your message I now see why. I very much appreciate your time and effort looking into this issue. If it would be helpful to you (and the greater SmartOS community I can revive the server with the problematic serial number and get the output for you.
