Hi,
as I am new here and not at all familiar with editing those webpages but still
wanted to contribute to the list of supported USB devices with
ID 1058:071a Western Digital Technologies, Inc. My Passport 1TB
I thought I might send it to you for review and entering into the list.
The device is acutally a 500GB external drive. If 1TB is just wrong or if
there are variants with 1TB and 500GB both with the same ID I don't know.
With the -d sat option the device is supported.
For details see the attatchment
Best regards

Kubuntu 14.04
Needs sufficient current over USB to run, my guess is > 500mA

Further details:
Western Digital My Passport 500GB
P/N: WDBAAA5000ABK-00
S/N: WX51A80J9865ST
Drive needs sufficient current over USB to run!
My guess is > 500mA but I cannot measure.
1A from separate 230V to USB adapter sure is sufficient as I tested OK.
Works on one of my USB 3.0 Ports, but not on another.
lsusb, details below, shows it as:
Bus 003 Device 008: ID 1058:071a Western Digital Technologies, Inc. My Passport
1TB
which is almost correct, except that it is not 1TB, but for sure 500GB.
