Although 1.6.15 is latest and greatest, there is already a patch

already in the new srpm in koji, so I would simply download that and see

The issue and fix "Fix for GCC15 / C23 build failure" doesn't seem to be
relevant for EL8 or EL9. The Systemd support must be configured in the
RPM building as described - don't know if the Fedora 42 package includes
this? The simple solution on EL8 is:
$ rpmbuild -ta --with systemd freeipmi-1.6.15.tar.gz

Hi Frank,
The latest and greatest FreeIPMI version is 1.6.15, but you must build
the RPM including Systemd support, see

Some additional remarks are in

power-monitoring
We have used the FreeIPMI plugin for a long time, and it works just
great! We just upgraded to Slurm 24.11.4 today :-)

I’d like to update to SLURM version 24.11.4. I was searching for a
recommendation for freeIPMI (power measurement), but couldn’t find
one on the schedMD web-pages (sorry, if I overlooked it).
The latest available freeIPMI is 1.6.15 (https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/
freeipmi/ freeipmi-1.6.15.tar.gz <https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/freeipmi/
freeipmi-1.6.15.tar.gz>). Does anyone knows whether this is the best
choice? Many thanks in advance for any advice.
