You definitely can’t just add the jammy repos to a bionic system. As someone who is running slurm on ubuntu, I highly recommend ripping the bandaid off and building from source. The ubuntu/debian packages run really far behind, and don’t provide a ton of flexibility for upgrades or fixes.
